Product Description
Just press the Clean button! The iRobot Roomba 530 vacuuming robot cleans more rooms, more effectively. Longer battery life allows it to clean up to 3 rooms on a single charge, and it cleans them better than ever with redesigned brushes and a stronger vacuum. Roomba navigates wirelessly under and around furniture, along walls and in corners, automatically adjusting from carpets to hard floors, carefully avoiding hazards like stairs and drop-offs. Anti-tangle technology prevents it from getting stuck on power cords, carpet fringe and other loose fibers. A larger air filter captures more allergens, and a larger debris bin keeps the dirt, dust and pet hair where it belongs. When the battery?s low or cleaning is complete, Roomba 530 will return automatically to its charging base to dock and recharge. This smart, efficient vacuuming robot will save you time and effort, while keeping your home wonderfully clean?it?s time you got one!
With dramatically improved navigation, cleaning coverage, vacuum pickup, and particle filtration, the Roomba 530 vacuuming robot picks up amazing amounts of dirt and debris with the simple touch of a button. The powerful unit features innovative spinning side brushes that grab dirt and dust from corners and along wall edges, as well as two high-speed, counter-rotating brushes that pick up pet hair, cat litter, food crumbs, and other debris from floors. The vacuum sucks up the debris and deposits it into a large, easy-to-empty bagless dustbin, and its improved fine-filtration system traps dust, pollen, and other allergens inside the unit, reducing infiltration into the living environment.
For added convenience, the vacuum's cleaning head automatically adjusts to transition from wood, tile, and linoleum to carpets and rugs, while improved anti-tangle technology ensures it won't get stuck on cords and rug fringe. If the unit begins to pick up a cord or carpet tassel, it will automatically reverse the direction of its brushes to extract the item. A gentle-touch bumper system senses obstacles so the vacuum automatically slows its approach, gently touches the obstacle, then redirects to continue cleaning under or around the object. Because it cleans under beds, couches, and other hard-to-reach areas, it actually vacuums more of the floor than a standard upright can. The vacuum also senses dirtier areas and spends more time cleaning them, and it uses built-in cliff sensors to avoid stairs and other drop-offs. In addition, invisible barriers can be set using the unit's Virtual Wall system. To mark off-limit areas, simply place a Virtual Wall at a doorway or other opening and adjust the infrared beam setting to the distance of the opening. The unit automatically detects the beam and will not cross it.
The vacuuming robot returns to its self-charging Home Base to dock and recharge between cleaning cycles or when the battery starts to run low. Its advanced power system consists of a fast-charging battery, a three-hour charger, and a power source that supercharges the unit for up to 120 minutes of continuous cleaning, covering about three to four average-size rooms on a single charge. Other accessories include two Virtual Walls (that require two D batteries each), a brush cleaning tool, and an extra filter. The vacuuming robot measures 16-3/4 by 21 by 5 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.
From the Manufacturer
Life happens in busy homes, and keeping up with accumulating dirt, dust, pet hair, crumbs, and debris can be a daily challenge. Introducing the iRobot Roomba 530--a member of iRobot’s newest generation of Roomba vacuuming robots.
Now there’s a better way to maintain cleaner floors every day. With dramatically improved navigation, cleaning coverage, vacuum pickup, and particle filtration, the Roomba 530 removes amazing amounts of dirt and debris from your floors with the touch of a button--so you don’t have to.
Yes, It Really Works
This smart, powerful, and autonomous vacuum features iRobot’s proven and patented three-stage cleaning system. First, innovative spinning side brushes grab dirt and debris from corners and along wall edges, then two high-speed, counter-rotating brushes pick up pet hair, food crumbs, and other debris. The powerful vacuum sucks up the debris and deposits it into a large, easy-to-empty bagless dustbin.
The improved fine-filtration system traps dust, pollen, and other allergens inside the robot, reducing infiltration into your living environment. The cleaning head automatically adjusts to transition from wood, tile, and linoleum to carpets and rugs. Improved anti-tangle technology ensures it won’t get stuck on cords and rug fringe. If Roomba begins to pick up a cord or carpet tassel, it will automatically reverse the direction of its brushes to extract the item. Roomba senses dirtier areas and spends more time cleaning them, and it uses built-in cliff sensors to avoid stairs and other drop-offs. When the job is done, Roomba returns to its self-charging Home Base to dock and recharge between cleaning cycles or when the battery is running low.
Easy to Use
The Roomba 530 features a friendly and informative audio voice demonstration that walks you through initial setup and alerts you when Roomba requires maintenance or assistance. Starting a cleaning cycle is simple--just press the 'Clean' button and Roomba does the rest. First it will calculate the size of the room, the obstacles in the room, and the cleanliness of the floors. Then it goes to work all by itself. At the end of each cleaning cycle, Roomba 530 returns to its Home Base to dock and recharge. Yes, it’s that simple. Routine maintenance is a snap. The large-capacity bagless bin is easy to slide out, empty, and click back into place. The brushes and filters can be easily removed by hand for routine cleaning and maintenance.
Smart and Efficient
Roomba calculates the appropriate cleaning time and pattern for each area and adjusts its behavior over 67 times per second to achieve the most thorough cleaning result. On average, Roomba covers every part of the floor four times. A gentle-touch bumper system senses obstacles, so Roomba automatically slows its approach, gently touches the obstacle, then redirects to continue cleaning under or around the object. Because it cleans under furniture, Roomba actually vacuums more of the floor than a standard upright can--and you don’t even have to push it around. Roomba’s Virtual Wall creates an invisible barrier that it will not cross (two Virtual Walls are included with the Roomba 530). To mark off-limit areas, simply place a Virtual Wall at a doorway or other opening and adjust the infrared beam setting to the distance of the opening. Roomba automatically detects the beam and will not cross it. The vacuum's advanced power system consists of a fast-charging battery, a three-hour charger, and a power source that supercharges the unit for up to 120 minutes of continuous cleaning, covering about three to four average-size rooms on a single charge. When the battery is low or when Roomba has completed a cleaning cycle, it automatically returns to the self-charging Home Base to dock and recharge. As a member of the newest generation of Roomba innovation, the Roomba 530 features a more powerful vacuum and redesigned high-speed, counter-rotating brushes that pick up more dirt, pet hair, dander, cat litter, crumbs, leaves, and other debris.

Customer Reviews for: iRobot 530 Roomba Vacuuming Robot, White
Rating - Please Stay Away!
As you can tell if you read these reviews, the Roomba works great until the day it doesn't. On that day you are completely out of luck with any servicing. Ours quit operating properly shortly after the one year warranty expired. I would expect to pay for shipping and even pay to have my unit serviced. But all Roomba would do is offer to sell me another one. Why would I buy another unit of something that already broke once and that no one on God's green earth can service. It is a complex machine. So about a hundred different ... Read More
Rating - Love It!
I love my Roomba. We have 4 bedrooms and hated moving the beds to clean under them. I just set my Roomba in and close the door and it does all the work for me. You would be surprised at the dust bunnies under a bed.
Oh, and my cat thinks it's a hoot too.

Hey:
Here's a link to the Roomba telling you how to get the discount price at HSN (if you're a first time customer). It is the best price on the net--I've looked everywhere.

Ours is working great so far. You have to empty the bin and clean the brushes after each use but it's a whole lot quicker than vacuuming the entire house. I checked behind it yesterday after it did the bedroom and you can see an inch thick layer of dust under the bed where ... Read More
Rating - Breaks Constantly
iRobot 530 Roomba Vacuuming Robot, White
We have owned both the old series Roomba Schedulers and now the Roomba 530. We had hoped that with the 530 the glitches and breakdowns would have worked themselves out. No so. The new roombas are still breaking down, just not as often as the old ones. Not one has even made it close to running to the full warranty period. In 6-8 weeks they break down. On the two newest 530 seriers robots first the side spinning brushs stripped themselves and would fall off (on both robots ... Read More
Rating - Initial thoughts on Roomba
The Roomba is fun. The 530 model doesn't use half of the owner's manual stuff (no special "lighthouses" to get it to do multiple rooms in series, no remote control, no scheduling function so it works while you are away), but it does clean. It can get out of any area it can get into unless it did it by moving shoes and jammed them up. Mine didn't get caught under the dining room table, but it spent a long time there hunting and pecking. It moved some slip on sandals to get under and then as it kept trying to get out they kept ... Read More
