Rating - BlueAnt Z9
I'm happy to say that I get a good connection with my Z9. Everyone on the other end tells me that they can hear me very plain and clear. It's the best.

I really like this product. It was easy to set up and works very well with my Motorola Razor phone. I also like the small size and adjustable ear piece.
Rating - Not bad, but not great (getting better!, see updates!)
This is a replacement (upgrade?) for my Plantronics 510, and the 520 they sent me as a replacement. So far, so good.
Pros:
*Stays connected to my Motorola E815. My Plantronics (both of them) would disconnect randomly.
*Lightweight
*Volume is reasonable
Cons:
*The noise reduction is marginal at best. I tried "windows down on the expressway" trick and my listener was not impressed (both "voice isolation standard and max). My voice was audible, but so was the wind noise.
*The fit is fair. I bought some headset pads (Radio Shack #33-376, pack of 4 for around $5) that have increased the comfort level somewhat and will probably act to protect the earpiece, which appears to be on backorder EVERWHERE at this time.
Overall, not bad. More functions available on the headset than my Plantronics (The Plantronics doesn't offer second call answer feature for call waiting unless you use the phone). Volume and clarity not as good as my 510 was; still looking for the "Holy Grail" of headsets that will have the volume, clarity and fit of the Plantronics 510, won't disconnect randomly and won't have the charging problems I had with the 510. This is a nice compromise for now, I'm still looking!
UPDATE: July 30th 2008. I upgraded to the newest V4 software yesterday and VIOLA! the noise reduction improved 100%. The "windows down on the expressway" trick now impresses my friends; one told me with the voice reduction at max he thought I had rolled up the window. Maybe I'll change my rating to 5 stars, but for now I'll leave it where it is. It IS nice that they continue to upgrade the software; show me another headset that does that!
UPDATE Sept. 6th, 2008. This headset is FINALLY the way I want it to be!. First step: I found an article on Howard Forums about installing the V1.1 software for the Z9i onto THIS headset. It works and eliminates the most annoying feature of this headset: the long hold down on the MFB button to end a call. Now, just a quick press and the call is ended. Second, the fit issue is taken care of: the same article on Howard Forums recommended the Jabra Eargels (available here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004WINT )
and the fit is now better. The sound level is also louder with the better ear fit. Try the mods and see what you think!
Rating - very nice
